Michelle Shaw, VP of Operations
Michelle Shaw is an experienced professional with several years of experience in the hospital financial component of the healthcare industry. Since joining DSH Management Solutions in 2009, Ms. Shaw has lead numerous engagements working very closely with hospital clients from multiple States obtaining and managing millions of hospital patient records and Medicare/Medicaid eligibility data for Disproportionate Share Hospitals (DSH) and 340b facilities to help maximize Hospital’s Federal DSH Reimbursements. Ms. Shaw has been a key developer of our Title XIX/XXI Rebilling product line that has added to the concurrent management component of the corporate service structure. In addition, she has been directly involved with the development of practices and process improvements for all DMS product lines. This includes the implementation of quality review processes that have significantly improved the consistency and accuracy of the associated workflows.
Prior to her work at DMS, Ms. Shaw served as a consultant and data analyst at Ernst & Young. During this time she was heavily involved with DSH scenarios, analyzing and processing terabytes of data from hospital patient records for Medicare Bad Debt as well as DSH patient eligibility data. She also researched and disseminated regulatory information to maximize the identification of new business opportunities for the firm, and worked to coordinate and communicate documentation to fulfill fiscal intermediary requirements to providers associated with the firm. Ms Shaw is a graduate from the College of William and Mary with a Bachelor’ Degree in Accounting and concentration in Finance.
