DSH Management Solutions - Whats New...
Jackson, MS.
, May 22, 2007/PRNewswire- First Call -- MHA Solutions,
Inc. has chosen to endorse DSH Mgmt Solutions, LLC to provide Medicare disproportionate
share consulting and management services for qualified members of the Mississippi
Hospital Association
Eddie Foster, Chief Operating Officer of the Mississippi Hospital Association, noted
that "We are pleased to introduce this industry leading DSH/340B management program
to our members. Our partnership with DMS is one of a full range of services we provide
to our membership designed to meet their high priority needs."
Robert Gricius, president, DMS, noted, “We look forward to working with qualified
members of the Mississippi Hospital Association to provide them the full range of
Federal Disproportionate Share and 340B Management services our company currently
offers and is planning to offer over the next 12 months. In the face of the double
digit percentage declines in Mississippi Medicaid membership over the past year
and continuing general nationwide decline in the Medicare Part A/SSI% as published
by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, hospitals need the full range
of resources available to ensure that they capture all the In-State, Out-of-State,
and “deemed” Medicaid eligible days they are entitled to as well as those “missing”
Medicare/SSI days resulting from the multiple systemic deficiencies as documented
in the March 17, 2006 Provider Reimbursement Review Board Decision 2006-D20.We believe
the fundamental paradigm shift from retrospective only to full-cycle DSH/340B program
management enabled via our proprietary MDSS™ software suite provides hospitals with
the tools to supplement their existing base methodology and yield substantive and
material directly accretive financial results.”
(Bill) F. Jacobs, Jr., president, WFJ Associates, will be leading the marketing
program for Mississippi. Mr. Jacobs is a long-time hospital executive who understands
the financial issues facing hospitals today in conjunction with Brooks Ayers, Regional
Vice President of WFJ Associates.
Mr. Ayers, noted that “We are looking forward to expanding our representation of
DSH Mgmt Solutions in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southern and Western United States.
We believe their integrated solution to this key financial segment is without peer
in the industry and provides benefits to all constituents in the healthcare industry”.
DMS’s (www.dshmgmtsys.com) MDSS© software suite is a remote hosted, HIPAA compliant, 256-bit SSL secure system available as a stand-alone product that can be leased and operated by clients, serve as the basis for partial or complete outsourcing of client-defined Medicare DSH/340B revenue cycle management, or used by DMS in a consulting engagement. The system cross references and integrates current and historical hospital admission data, real-time regional and national eligibility/entitlement/claims data; statewide public discharge databases, and federal/state mandated benefit coverage rules-based tables.
